BOODSKAP VAN DIE TENNISORGANISEERDER

Tennis at Laerskool Nelspruit is an individual sport hidden within a team sport, you play as an individual but you are represented as a team.

Tennis is a “gentleman’s/woman’s” sport, it is based on etiquette and good sportsmanship.

At Laerskool Nelspruit we encourage as many learners as possible to participate in all the festivals starting with Grade 1’s -
this helps instill the love for tennis which we hope will grow with them for life.

LEAGUES:

We participate in the Open A and B leagues where we tend to do very well. The tennis was run differently this year for the u/11’s, they all played individually which allowed them to get a lot of exposure and practice.

Our Open teams played beautifully with the Open A girls team coming 2nd in the league and the Open A boys team winning their league.

We had a Grade 1 and 2 tennis festivals as well which was amazing to see. The Grade 1 and 2’s really showed a huge interest. This will help tremendously with the development of tennis.

There was also a Grade 3 and 4 tennis festival which allowed more children to get onto the tennis court.

All in all, tennis is starting to grow here at Laerskool Nelspruit and we are excited to see what happens next.

MISSIE

Tennis by Laerskool Nelspruit word beskou as ‘n opvoedkundige aktiwiteit.

Tennis is played throughout the year in the Lowveld. Participation in tournaments is encouraged. Players can register with Lowveld Junior Tennis and participate in all the games and tournaments hosted by them. The tennis courts are available throughout the year for practicing and tennis matches. During the second term, the first two courts will however be used for netball games.

PROEWE

Players must be registered with Lowveld Junior Tennis in order to participate in any Lowveld Tournaments.
